"There you go, Daizō! That one's for you!" she said.
The little half-spirit tot held out a flower crown made of daisies and wildflowers to her twin brother who was lost deep in thought before his sister, Maōko, announced her latest creation.
"Huh? Oh.." At the sound of her voice, Daizō came out of his realm of thoughts and hesitated a bit before taking the chain of flowers out of her extended hand. "Thanks, Maōkochii." he said.
"YOU'RE WELCOME!" she shouted gleefully .

"What do you think you're doing here, you filthy half-spirit?!?!" the man asked gruffly.
The young girl flinched at the man's words, but her firm expression never wavered. She sought to complete what she set out to do: find food for her family, what was left of it, anyway. She held out her hands and asked, "Please spare some food."
"Ha!" he says jeeringly "If I give you food for free, then I'd have to give everything away for free to the rest of the rabble! Besides, I'd rather sell my soul to the Devil than give a crumb to the likes of you, you stupid, mangy half-spirit!! You make me sick!!"
"Likewise!!" she thought, but she held her tongue. "Please sir," she begged. "I am so hungry..."
"So what?!" he said "That's not my fault!!" A crowd was beginning to form around the man and the unkempt girl with fox ears. People whispered but no one dared to step forward to lend a hand.
